The application deadline is Friday, May 2, 2025, at 5 p.m. Award winners will be revealed by June 15.
Application Requirements
- Names of applicants, along with their division, department, and titles
- Project Title (maximum of 175 characters, including spaces)
- A PDF document containing the following details:
- Non-technical summary (up to 8000 characters, including spaces) – In simple terms, briefly outline: (1) the issue and its significance, (2) the project’s goals and objectives, (3) the target audiences and their benefits, and (4) how your planned activities will lead to the proposed outcomes mentioned in the goal statement or objectives.
- Methodology (up to 8000 characters, including spaces) – Explain how the project will be carried out, focusing on standard methods and any unique elements or significant variations from typical practices.
- Literature Cited (no character limit)
- A 3-page CV for each of the three applicants
- A comprehensive budget with justification
- Information on potential grant programs the team may pursue later with data generated from the seed grant.
Reporting Requirements
By February 1, 2026, the team is required to submit an interim report detailing progress made, funds utilized, any results achieved, and plans for submitting a full proposal to an external agency. By August 1, 2026, the team must provide a full report (up to 8000 characters, including spaces) covering project results, impact, any pending publications, graduate student contributions, and funding spent.
