Terms & Conditions:
This WGU Payment Plan (“Plan”) details the terms and conditions for installment payments of WGU tuition between you (“Plan Owner”) and WGU Academy, along with its affiliated entities (collectively, “WGU”). By signing up for this Plan, you confirm your acceptance of these terms until your tuition is fully paid.
Authorization
- You give WGU permission to process payments from your specified method and verify that it belongs to you or someone you’ve authorized.
- This authorization concludes when your total balance is settled.
Payment Terms
- Your total balance will be split into equal monthly payments according to your program’s duration.
- Even if you complete your program early, monthly billing will continue until your balance is fully paid.
Refunds
- Withdraw within 3 days of enrollment (grace period) and complete orientation to receive a full refund.
- Withdrawing after the grace period incurs full charges regardless of your progress.
- To request a withdrawal, email [email address removed] or call 888-320-0540.
Prepayment and Extensions
- You can pay off your balance in full at any point without penalty.
- If you extend your program beyond the initial term, extra monthly fees will apply, which we’ll inform you about prior to processing your extension.
Defaults and Non-Payments
- Missing payments won’t result in withdrawal but are classified as a default.
- Unpaid balances will limit access to your program until resolution.
- A failed payment will cancel your payment plan if unresolved within 14 days. The entire balance will then be immediately due.
- We may employ a collection agency and pursue legal action to collect outstanding fees. You consent to sharing your account information with them and agree to cover all collection-related costs, including legal expenses.
- You will also not be eligible for future payment plans.
Updating Your Plan Information
- Contact WGU to modify your plan details.
- If you are financing someone else’s education (the plan owner), you need their approval before making any changes.
- The recipient must secure written authorization (an email suffices) from the plan owner and submit it to WGU.
- You won’t be notified in advance of adjustments resulting from authorized changes, including any balance adjustments.
Reporting Errors
- Any suspected errors made by WGU should be reported within 60 days of their occurrence.
- Report errors by emailing [email address removed] or calling 888-320-0540.

Affordable Education: Breaking Down Cost Barriers
For many, the financial burden of higher education is a formidable hurdle. At WGU, we believe that a quality education shouldn’t be inaccessible. Obtain a respected degree for approximately half the national average cost of a bachelor’s degree.
Should I Consider Financial Aid?
A college degree is a worthwhile investment that can significantly boost your lifetime earning potential. Individuals with bachelor’s degrees generally earn nearly a million dollars more over their careers than those without. Master’s degrees often offer similar financial benefits.
Federal financial aid can greatly assist in making your education feasible. We encourage you to investigate your options and discuss your unique situation with an Enrollment Counselor for further insights.
